Nelly Boyd / Neues Ensemble fur Live-Elektronik Hamburg, a composer
collective interested in sine waves and earthquakes, bees and
beatings, space and silence; utilizing digital and analogue electronics
and on occasion strings, electric guitars, voice; combining classical
concert settings with open installation-like situations; creating
simple, enigmatic, charming music (funded partly by the Institut
fur Auslandsbeziehungen, Stuttgart)

Interactive multiprojection audio/visual playing
via Max/MSP/Jitter; a flicker of light whispers to midnight, a
crashing wave cuts in a shadow, a sliver of loud urban windows
pierces through the clouds and other emotions inspired by the
freedom of mobility (made possible by a Harvestworks Residency,
Experimental Television Center and in-kind donations from mediaThe
foundation inc.)

a memorial fellowship named for the Portuguese Intermedia Artist,
sponsored by the Luso-Americana Foundation and the Fundacao Calouste
Gulbenkian, in Lisbon, coordinated by Isabel Alves, presents an
intermedia performance: Ruben Verdadeiro
"Blue Silent", orchestrated by diverse elements, the
piece tells a story in four moments - a micro-macro relation is
presented in real time; by an
organic fusion of multiple elements, I create conditions that
allow the receiver to choose directions; we dive in to ourselves,
as if we were
reading a book, we sleep for a few minutes, we lose track of time..
, we are totally alone, in absolute silence

Experimental Intermedia, based in New York City, was founded in
1968 by Elaine Summers to provide organizational
support for artists working in intermedia forms. Throughout
its history EI has produced more than 1000 events in its New York
lofts. EI has also produced many intermedia events in other cities
in the U.S. and other countries. EI now produces 20 events each
season; manages its compact disc label, XI; develops and implements
international projects in collaboration with like-minded organizations
in Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Portugal and elsewhere.
